Hausfeld LLP Has Record Year in Latest The Legal 500 Guide: Selected Fifth Year in A Row, Garners Most Leading Lawyer Selections In Category

Washington, DC (July 24, 2013) --- For the fifth consecutive year, The Legal 500, the world’s largest legal referral guide, ranks Hausfeld LLP as a “preeminent” firm and again named it as one of the top three U.S. firms in Antitrust Plaintiff Representation. In its fifth year, Hausfeld LLP once again was selected as a first tier firm in the U.S.

Published for over twenty years, the Legal 500-United States analyzes the capabilities of law firms across the country and ranks firms and attorneys based on expertise, strengths, and strategies. Rankings are determined by independent research, opinions of the firm from attorneys and their clients, and a thorough examination of how the firm handles contentious issues. The Legal 500 is the only guide to recommend firms on a national basis, and in 2013 recommended just 311 firms. More information on the Legal 500 can be found at

The Legal 500 U.S. Litigation guide refers to Hausfeld LLP as “a thought leader on the plaintiffs’ side of the bar’, as well as ‘highly professional’, ‘extremely focused and result-oriented.’ ” The guide states that name partner Michael Hausfeld is “the most creative lawyer on the plaintiffs’ antitrust bar, both in terms of ‘legal theory and settlement strategy’, and is ‘the very best of his class’. The guide also noted that ‘Brilliant lawyer’ Brian Ratner is ‘a very smart and business-oriented negotiator’.”

Moreover, Hausfeld LLP attorneys dominated the Legal 500’s ten Leading Lawyers list, garnering the most of any firm by having three attorneys named:

  1. Michael Hausfeld
  2. Megan Jones
  3. Brian Ratner

Out of just 10 attorneys selected in the U.S., three Hausfeld LLP attorneys were chosen as Leading Lawyers in plaintiffs’ antitrust representation.
