Hausfeld LLP Partner Megan E. Jones Selected to 2013 Irish Legal 100

Washington, DC –November 21, 2013 - Hausfeld LLP antitrust partner Megan E. Jones has been named to the Irish Legal 100, an annual list chosen by Dublin’s The Irish Voice Newspaper.

The Irish Legal 100 includes some of the most accomplished and distinguished lawyers of Irish descent from all across America. The list is comprised of lawyers, judges, educators and politicians who share a passion for the law and pride in their heritage.  Other notable honorees include Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy, as well as law school deans, and top attorneys from leading U.S. firms and corporations.

With roots stretching back to Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, Jones is being recognized by the publication for her expertise negotiating, assessing and recovering antitrust damage claims for corporate victims of antitrust cartels.  She has negotiated over half a billion dollars in recoveries for corporate clients in the past five years.

In addition to the 2013 Irish Legal 100, Jones has been named to several other prestigious lists: In 2012 and 2013, The Legal 500 selected her as one of the top 10 leading lawyers in the U.S. in plaintiffs’ representation for antitrust.  This year she was named as one of the 100 successful  “Women in Antitrust globally” by Global Competition Review.  In 2012, Jones was selected by Law 360 as a “Rising Star” in the Competition category. Law360 selected just five attorneys in each category as top legal talent under age 40 in the U.S. and internationally, whose accomplishments in major litigation or transactions belie their age.  In 2012 and 2013, Ms. Jones has been rated by her legal peers as a DC Super Lawyer.

Ms. Jones is the Chairwoman of Hausfeld LLP New Case Committee where she designed the internal system for new case evaluation and selection. A strong believer in empowering women in the legal field, Jones is also the founder and creator of the Women Antitrust Plaintiffs’ Attorney conference, a national organization for women lawyers’ practicing antitrust law on behalf of victims of cartels.
